Our History
By the mid 1900's there were seven smaller Free Methodist churches within a 10 mile radius. Discussion began about the possibility of a merger, developing a larger central church that would be more effective in America's changing culture.
"A New Church for a New Age."
These churches voted to merge: Elmer, Carsonville and Sandusky. Not long after the Ball church suffered a fire which led to them also joining the merger.
Countryside was officially organized on July 20, 1975 and the first service was held on the Countryside property on October 19, 1975. The official dedication service was December 14, 1975. Bishop Dale Cryderman was present.
