Mothers Of Preschoolers
Mothers of Preschoolers or MOPS
is a support ministry for mothers who have children
of pre-school age. Countryside Free Methodist Church
hosts a chapter for the Thumb area of Michigan.
The MOPS moms develop close friendships,
learn valuable lessons on raising children, have
refreshments, make crafts and have the emotional
support they need for the demanding years of raising
children.
During the MOPS meetings, child
care is provided so the moms can relax and enjoy
their time. MOPS meets during the school year. Following
are some testiments from those who have been involved:
"One thing I enjoy about
MOPS is the opportunity to meet and fellowship
with other ladies. Being new in the area, I'm
not sure I'd be adjusting or acclimating as well
without
this group."
"MOPS has been wonderful
to me. It gives me a chance to get out and make
new friends."
"Gosh, where do I start?
I love EVERYTHING! The girls are ALL GREAT. They
care so much about one another. It's so nice
to talk to other moms who are going through the
same
struggles and challenges. The crafts are nice
too, they challenge your brain and creativity
above
a preschool level. The speakers are ALWAYS so
informative. I enjoy listening and learning from
them."
